Marquee Hire Freephone

So, you ask, why should you pay more, for what appears to be the same product and service as our opposition promises?

It can be a difficult question to answer without coming out with the same old sales lines that you've heard again and again. So here they are. Cliches are there for a reason!

You can't drink Champagne for the price of Beer.

You get what you pay for.

Cheapest is not necessarily the best.

John Ruskin summed it up better than we ever could, and his text seems to creep into so many sales courses nowadays!

"It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much you lose a little money and that is all. When you pay too little you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the actual thing that it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better."   John Ruskin (1819-1900)

We don't make promises that we can't keep, which is unfortunately an all too common approach in many businesses these days. We do not have a dedicated, commission-led sales department. Your initial call will be dealt with by a Director of Good Intents who will be responsible for your order until your site has been cleared and you have waved us down the road. The photos which you see on our website are actually of our own marquees, rather than the ubiquitous library photos of perfect demonstration marquees which marquee manufacturers are happy to give to anyone.

When we quote for your event, we quote for everything that we believe that you need. We fully expect that you will have two or more other quotes. From experience, we would be surprised if our quote was the lowest, however like-for-like, our aim is to be very competitive.

We estimate that there are over 2500 marquee companies in the UK, and we fully appreciate how hard it must be to select the right company. We all tell you the same things, and it can be difficult to convice you that we are being more honest than the others! By far the best judge is a previous client, particularly one who has previously used other marquee suppliers. The majority of our work now comes from some sort of recommendation. We have even had emails from people who hadn't booked us, and  subsequently regretted it and came back to us for their next events!

We are the first choice of many venues and event planners, because they know that we care as much as they do, and in the end we make their lives simpler.

Please read our Testimonials page.  These are genuine unsolicited letters of thanks from clients. Some are very wealthy. Most are not. All are completely satisfied, not only with the marquee itself, but with the service they received before, during and after the event.

Some things add to our costs. For example, we thoroughly wash all of our matting between jobs, so that you are not standing on last week's food waste and drink spills and damp confetti. This is not mentioned in our quote (or our competitors'!) We have spent many years finding suppliers who offer a great product and great service at a realistic rate. Take generators, furniture, toilets, heaters. We could get all of these cheaper, and in the past we have tried them, but we have always come back to the supplier who has never let us down. We could cut our costs by leaving the job before it is completely finished. Perhaps those linings will do another couple of jobs before we have to wash that stain out? Use less nails in the matting, that'll save time.

Most importantly, we give you the space that you need to be comfortable, not cramped to cut costs. This is where you rely on our experience for advice, and we will not let you down.

The bottom line is, we feel that is as easy to do the job properly as to cut corners. It just takes a little longer.

Conclusion. We are better in every way than any of our competition. Our aim is to make every job slightly better than the last. We may be slightly more expensive, sometimes we are not, but when the event is over, you will be happy with what we have done, and hopefully you will recommend us to your friends and colleagues. This is how we have got where we are, and how we will continue to grow.
